MONZA8 - 1956 MG MAGNETTE V8

Restoring an old car which has rotted out and has a seized engine, hardly makes good economic sense.  So, building a 1956 MG Magnette ZA V8 makes more sense.  The Rover V8 is a logical power unit as it was also the engine in the MGB GT V8, so this engine now carries MG badges.

The project was started May 2004, and the engine was finally fired up just before the end of 2008.

The sites will NOT be updated end May 2011 to beginning of September 2011 as there will be no further progress during that time.

The car is now at a stage where the final assembly is in progress - and that is slow! The bonnet, boot lid and sill covers still need to be manufactured and the interior finished - but the car does run - very well - as far as I can tell with a couple of illicit trips up the street!

I will have a lot of back-tracking to do and we are currently unsure what will happen if I transfer over the pages from the previous website structure unchanged but they will gradually be moved to the MONZA website.

The refurbished door opens...
